Most systems require changes to network configurations or additional components to facilitate deployment. Digium phones support plug-and-play provisioning. Simply plug in the phone and it will automatically discover Asterisk systems on the network. Select the user you want to assign to the phone and the proper configuration is instantly loaded. For larger deployments you can pre-assign phones by tying a MAC address to an Asterisk user.
